Tol Legion

The heraldry of the Tol Legion is a golden sunset on a deep red field.

The Tol legion, the soldiers of House Tol, defenders of Sorlamir and Guardians of the South. The Tol legion has existed for hundreds of years, always under the command of the ruler of the Tol family. Dedicated to the security of the realm, the legion is known for its vigilance and determination in fullfilling its duty. The legion consists of soldiers from all over Morra. Any dedicated and loyal person may join the legion, few have what it takes to grow old in it. The legionnaires are very well known for their fighting skill and devotion, as well as their loyalty towards the Tol family. The legion is by far the mightiest fighting force in the Kingdom of Sorlamir.

At any given time the legion consists of around two thousand men. It is divided into cavalry, infantry and the sappers, very well known for their engineering skills and other talents. The legion is garrisoned at Fort Kemly, in the Kemlyshire southwest of the grand capital of Torin. The shire, one of the largest in the realm, trade in weapons and wood for raw iron from the mines. The legion has taken part in all major campaigns in which Sorlamirian armies have fought in the last hundred years. The legion handles its own business within the land of Sorlamir and answers only to House Tol. All justice is handled internaly, often more harshly than any civilian court would do. The worst punishment a legionnaire can suffer is to be erased from the legion scrolls, or so it is said.
